Description

In L'Anse, take Broad St. down hill to intersection of Broad & Main, at blinking light. Turn right on Main St., which turns into Skanee Road outside of L'Anse. Turn off of Skanee Road onto Arvon Road and drive 3.4 miles. Turn left and park near the wooden logging bridge. You will find two waterfalls within a few hundred feet of of each other. The farthest falls is Black Slate Falls which starts as a rapids then drops down over rock formations into the three distinct sections before it continues downstream a few hundred feet to Quartzite Falls. The falls can be accessed by a short easy trail through the forest.DIFFICULTY LEVEL: 1-2
