Description

Filpus Log Cabins are located on 25 private wooded acres bordering Otter Lake. Both of the cabins have remodeled interiors with all the conveniences of a small home, such as cooking facilities, linens, color Satellite TV, VCR, microwave, picnic table and a barbecue grill. Each cabin has its own private dock with a 14 foot aluminum boat. Outboard motors are available for rent.

Filpus Log Cabins are Open Year Round.

Cabin #1 is a round log Scandinavian style cabin that was Harold's original boyhood home. It has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with a bunk bed and a single bed There are additional single beds upstairs. There is a separate building with a sauna that can also be used by cabin #2 guests.* * * * * * * * *Cabin #2 (below) is a 100 year old hand-hewn log home built by Harold's grandfather. The interior logs have been sandblasted. New interior partition walls have been added and cabinets built with pine paneling.The cabin has two bedrooms upstairs, one with a queen size bed and the other with a double bed and bunk beds.There is a swimming beach at cabin #2 that isBoth cabins are fully modernized and have gas and wood stoves for heat. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy the Northern way of heating a home. Plenty of wood supplied.
